Our history

Greater London Hire (GLH) was established in 1967 when John Scott took over the site in East Finchley - where we are still based today - and will be celebrating 45 years on the road next year.

Over the years, with many dedicated staff, the company has been built up into what it is today, with over 300 vehicles offering a one stop solution for all private hire and despatch needs. Starting with a much appreciated local customer base, the company has expanded to all over London and we hope that through excellent service levels we continue to keep our customers happy wherever they are and whatever they want.
